New Years in Florida 2022
News Year Eve is upon us so you may be trying to decide how you want to celebrate. Whether you are a late owl or an early bird there is plenty to do in Northeast Florida so today we are talking about things to do for New Years 2022.
Not everyone wants to go out and party on New Years and the good news is you don’t have to.
If you are wanting to be home and cozy at midnight, maybe celebrate New Years during the day at the circus. That’s right Vernardos Circus is back in town at the St Augustine Amphitheater and entertaining all ages between now and January 2nd. This little circus was created by a former Ringling Brothers Ringmaster, Kevin Vernardos. It began in 2014 and has grown over the years reinventing the American Circus Tradition. The circus will have shows on New Years Eve at 1:00 and 4:00 and on New Years Day at 1:30, 4:30 and 7:30 but you will also find show times all week too. St Augustine Fireworks
If fireworks are your thing, you can catch a large display on St Augustine Beach New Years Eve from 8:30 to 9:30pm at the Pier. You can view the fireworks from A Street and 10th as well. Parking will be available at Amici’s Restaurant and the YMCA and there will be a shuttle from Anastasia Baptist Church. It’ll definitely draw a big crowd so make sure you plan ahead. Other Fireworks in Northeast Florida
And if you are further north check out the fireworks in Jacksonville. This year the fireworks will be launched from a barge on the St Johns river and can be viewed both north and south along the banks.
The show will start at midnight to ring in the New Year and again be sure to plan ahead.
If you are further south in the Palm Coast check out the fireworks and live music with Chillula at European Village from 7pm to 1am. Definitely make your dining reservations and plan to take an uber or lyft if you aren’t going to arrive early. This is sure to be a fun party with dancing too.
Now if you want to dress up and go to a party there are plenty of those happening all over from Dancing through the decades at Embassy Suites to the midnight gala at the Fountain of Youth.
