LIVING IN ST AUGUSTINE WITH NO HOA

Today we are taking a neighborhood tour of the desirable St Augustine South. People love this area for it’s close location to the beach, Flagler Hospital, and lots of shopping, plus an easy drive to Historic Downtown..but the number one reason is that there is no HOA, a rare find in this part of town!
St Augustine Living
Located on the Matanzas River, this is a great community for walking or biking, especially along Shore Rd, where you can take in the river views. Like much of St. Augustine this neighborhood is very dog friendly and this stretch of road also offers a perfect place to walk Fido.
Being situated along the ICW, you can expect a lot of boating and fishing enthusiasts around! The neighborhood includes TWO public boat ramps and of course with no HOA you can keep all your vessels and toys right on your property. Just hitch up in your driveway and spend the day cruising from here to the Inlet, downtown, or to many of the swimming spots along the river.
Because this neighborhood was developed almost 50 years ago, the lots are larger than many you will find in the newer planned communities today so you get to also enjoy a little more privacy as well as mature landscaping with many large oaks and other shade type trees.
Moving to St Augustine
Saint Augustine South real estate is primarily made up of medium sized (three or four bedroom) single-family homes of which the majority were built from 1970 to 1999. Prices have increased here in the past year with homes going for $300k and up in much of the neighborhood and Homes on Shore Rd with views of the river selling upwards of $700k but if you are willing to do some cosmetic updates you can still find a great deal here.
So with this fantastic location, ability to have all your “toys” on your property, no association fees, and gorgeous views of the Matanzas, this neighborhood might be perfect fit for you!
