Nights of Lights in St. Augustine
It’s Christmas in St Augustine and that means a lot of people are visiting to see the nights of lights.
This year in St Augustine, they’re celebrating it’s 28th year, so, I figured I’d tell you a few of my favorite things to do during the holidays in St Augustine.
The holiday season is an especially magical time around St. Augustine and there are many wonderful traditions and activities to spark your Christmas spirit. I wanted to share a few of my favorite things and hope to inspire you to make the most of our beautiful town and festivities!
Now for a few of my favorite things to do.
Firstly, viewing the Nights Of Lights from the water!
If you don’t have your own boat, you can hop on one of the evening cruises with local tour boats like Florida Water Tours that sets out from Camachee Harbor. On the other hand, you enjoy the lights and just be prepared to take your time doing it, because this annual tradition always draws big crowds!
Secondly, St Augustine Nights of Lights Trolley Ride.
Hop on a decorated Red Train or Old Town Trolley for a guided tour of St. Augustine and be ready to sing along with some carols. Above all, the trolley tours are a fun way to check out the highlights of the town any time of year, and around Christmas, it is really a FUN ride and something I look forward to doing every year.
Thirdly and most importantly, celebrating at the Villa Zorayda.
This amazing replica of a Spanish castle makes you feel like you have stepped back in time! However, you do have to make reservations for the Christmas tour and it is well worth it.
In conclusion, these are just a few of my favorite ways to celebrate the holidays in St Augustine Florida. If you have any special traditions or places to check out, be sure to leave a comment below!
Wishing you and yours a happy, healthy, and very Merry Christmas!
Thanks for tuning in and I’ll catch you on the next one.
